Post-operating agreement survey

UPDATED!

About 60 co-ops in the province had an operating agreement with CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) expire before July 1, 2017. We receive many inquiries about how co-ops react to the end of their original operating agreements, so we know how important this subject is to co-op members.

If your co-op has an expired agreement, we've sent your board a letter asking the directors to designate someone to complete our survey – ideally a board member, or someone with a good understanding of the co-op’s recent practices.

All co-ops that participate in our survey will be helping other housing co-ops and be assisting CHF BC so we can better develop resources for co-ops facing post-agreement challenges. We can all learn from the experiences of those that have already faced expiring agreements. The survey should take about 15 to 20 minutes. Because of the importance of the results to all our members, we've extended the survey participation deadline to the end of the day Friday, August 25. Please, if your co-op hasn't participated yet and needs assistance, get in touch.

After the survey closes, we will share the aggregated results.

Thank you in advance for your help: an example of the sixth co-op principle in action, co-operation among co-operatives!
