On November 17, CHF BC hosted the 2024 Annual General Meeting, connecting with our community, sharing our new strategic plan, and electing five at-large directors to the CHF BC board.
Retiring board chair, Suzann Zimmering, opened the meeting, and was later honoured by staff and fellow board members for her many years of service to both CHF BC and the co-operative housing community at large.
Many of our group buying partners were in attendance, providing members with examples of how they can take advantage of pre-vetted vendors and exclusive savings at both the individual resident member and co-op member level.
Vice-President of the CHF BC Board, Anne Davidson, shared an overview the last year, including highlights from CHF BC, COHO, and Community Land Trust, culminating in this video, showcasing key impacts from the year.
Michelle Cooper-Iverson and Jarrett Hagglund shared the 2025-30 strategic plan: Strengthening our Foundations, Deepening our Impact, an ambitious long-term overview, prioritizing the long-term health and growth of co-op housing communities in BC.
Finally, the meeting concluded with an election for five at-large seats, which included a lively round table with the candidates. We were happy to see Ted Pennington and Raman McIsaac elected to their first terms on the board, and Stephanie Smith, Anne Davidson and Danny Loubert (all pictured above) re-elected to two-year terms, completing the twelve member Board of Directors.
Thank you to all of our members who attended, you are an important part of our community and your participation is key to strong governance.
