Hillside Place Housing Co-operative

I have been a long-time resident of Burnaby and my husband, and I have brought up three great kids in co-op communities.

I started living in co-ops in Burnaby at the age of 16 and loved developing close relationships with my neighbors. Co-op living can provide opportunities to build collaboration between members, and enriching environments, with diversity and inclusion for all members. I have been part of the board of directors at Hillside Place Co-op since 2020 and it has been a great experience.

I have a background in working with a Not-for-Profit Youth organization for the past 15 years, which is a passion of mine working in community development.

I am also a current student at Simon Fraser University completing my last semester in the Not-for-Profit Volunteer Business Management diploma program. One of my projects has been centered around developing a housing complex that has a balance of accessible units (wheelchair/walker/visual/ hearing).
