CHF BC announced the launch of the new CHF BC Scholarship Fund at our AGM in November.  Information on eligibility, an application form and a scholarship fund poster are now available online. The Fund will offer financial support to members of housing co-ops in BC attending publicly funded Canadian colleges, universities or approved apprenticeship programs.CHF BC was inspired to create the Fund by our sister federation in Toronto.  CHFT’s successful CHFT Diversity Scholarships program has awarded more than $700,000 to deserving co-op members since 2004.The CHF BC Scholarship Fund gets its start with legacy funds from our Aaron Webster Memorial Fund and a generous donation from Vancity Savings Credit Union.Deadline to apply is March 23.  The first scholarships will be awarded at our semi-annual meeting on May 5, 2012.
