As members get older, they sometimes face challenges in making sure they can live safely in their units, get fully involved in their co-op communities and know where to get support when they need it. Following the lead of CHF Canada’s Aging in Place Committee, CHF BC has created its own Aging in Place Committee that will provide a focus for the Federation’s work in this area. The committee will identify ways the Federation can help co-ops to adapt to the changing needs of their members as they age. The committee held its first meeting this February and is looking for a few more members. If you are interested in applying to be on the committee please send an email to: info@chf.bc.ca telling us a bit about yourself, your experience with housing co-ops and/or seniors and why you want to be on the committee.
