Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) Ending: Act Now!

  25 April 2024

Since 2010, the Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP) has provided opportunities for non-profit housing co-ops (and others) to save money and improve sustainability. The program offers home visits with FREE support for energy-saving lights, water-saving showerheads, and advice. In some cases, co-ops have been helped with insulation upgrades or brand new refrigerators. The program has really delivered a lot to co-op members over the years and many, but not all, housing co-ops have taken advantage of it.

Your Last Chance for Energy Savings!

The program is set to end this year. If your co-op has never made use of ECAP, or only saw a few homes participate, there’s still a chance to take part.

Please contact It’s On Electric at 1-855-560-3227 or ecap@itsonelectric.com to have your co-op sign up (or reconnect) as soon as possible. In June, intake will end for good but participants will still see assistance through to September. The critical point is to sign up or reconnect with the program now if you think you can benefit from it – application intake ends June 15!

CHF BC strongly recommends co-ops use this last chance to take advantage of the program if they have not done so already.
