Ten years ago, CHF BC and the Vancouver Island Co-operative Housing Association (VICHA) combined their operations to form one province-wide federation of housing co-ops. On May 24, 90 people gathered to celebrate ten years of successful co-operation with a very entertaining tenth anniversary dinner celebration. Twenty-six co-ops were represented. Everyone enjoyed a hotly contested game of Island co-op trivia and a wonderful meal. Candice Bunting (president of VICHA Services at the time of the merger) received flowers and recognition. Catherine Porter (president of CHF BC) Wes Hosler (president of CHF Canada) and Joanne Mick (Manager with The Agency for Co-operative Housing) extended congratulations and thanked Island members for their continued support.Sincere thanks to the many Island professionals and CHF BC Group Buying partners who attended the event. Island members were very pleased to have Frank Corbett, Margaret Crossley and Brian Zelley in attendance.  Special thanks to COHO Repair Services, COHO Management Services Society, RONA and Hourigan’s Carpets for their generous sponsorship of the event.
