In Loving Memory of Fred Bustin

  10 September 2003

A note from Doug Perry at Cana Management:

It is with great sadness that we must tell you of the death of our good friend and colleague, Fred Bustin. Dear Fred passed away on Tuesday, September 23 after a lengthy illness. He died peacefully, surrounded by friends and family. Fred was a great friend and mentor to his co-workers, an unfailing resource to our clients, and a staunch ally to everyone who cared about co-operative housing. We’ll miss him terribly.

If the Co-op wishes to make a bequest in Fred’s name, we suggest you consider a donation to one or more of Fred?s three favourite causes: The Co-operative Disability Trust, Camp Rainbow, or Rooftops International. For more information about these organizations, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

“At Fred?s request, there will not be a funeral. Instead, there will be an informal Celebration of Fred’s Life:

Sunday, October 19
Westminster Club
713 Columbia Street
New Westminster

Fred’s many friends and acquaintances are welcome to drop by between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to share our remembrance of this fine man and dedicated co-operator.

If you’re planning to attend, please call Kathy Baxter at 604-524-8524 (ext. 106), or send e-mail to mailto:kathyb@canateam.com. We’d appreciate hearing from you by October 14.”=
