There can be long waiting lists to get into housing co-ops, but sometimes opportunities open up unexpectedly.

Several non-profit housing co-ops with ties to Community Land Trust are looking for new members to join their communities now.

  • Sawmill Housing Co-operative is the River District in Vancouver

  • Sunshine is located in Surrey with a limited number of one-bedroom homes (https://sunshinecoop.weebly.com/)
  • Cardston Court is located in Burnaby

  • In Burnaby, Post 83, has one-bedroom homes available now.  Visit the co-op’s website at https://www.post83housing.ca/.
