CHF BC members gathered in Burnaby, on Saturday, March 31 for a stimulating day of ideas and discussion at CHF BC’s Spring Education Conference.  Members chose workshops from packed line-up of 12 topics.  Just some of the workshops included: Housing subsidies in a post-operating agreement world, Hoarding, a 21st century dilemma, and co-op governance basics like What makes a good board? and What makes a good director?Over lunch, members heard about plans to celebrate the International Year of Co-operatives, and were able to make connections with other co-op members from their home neighbourhoods to plan ‘co-op cluster’ events.  CHF Canada’s executive director, Nicholas Gazzard, also gave members an overview of activities planned for the Year of Getting Management RightAll conference participants can now view and download all workshop materials online.
