Our Co-op Housing Spring Forum on May 28 is quickly approaching! This event will be an exciting celebration of of co-op living for all ages, including education, plenaries, scholarship presentations, members meeting, and a reception.
We are focused on empowering our members to live well and thrive through education, inspiration and community connectedness. We look forward to once again offering a hybrid in-person and online format as well as a live broadcast in Victoria for our Vancouver Island members. Whichever option you choose, you will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions in real time. This holistic approach to meeting our members where they are at is an example of our commitment to building strong, flourishing housing co-op communities across B.C.
This year combined education conference, scholarship presentations, and business meeting is an exciting new format. Nonetheless, it continues our tradition of knowledgeable speakers and facilitators with insightful workshops for building you co-op community. We will also be sharing updates from the board and information on member dues for the upcoming year at our business meeting.
One highlight will be the impactful plenary sessions focusing on fostering communities
that support youth into adulthood, through connectedness, engagement and education, to
ensure that we can continue to build strong co-op communities that thrive. Both the TRRUST plenary in the morning and Ethọ́s Lab plenary in the afternoon are focused on fostering communities that support youth into adulthood, through engagement, education, and connectedness. Not coincidentally, these are closely related to the co-op principles that guide our sector.
Another highlight will be CHF BC’s 12th annual scholarship presentations to three deserving students from co-op homes in B.C.
New this year is a Member Mix and Mingle reception available for members to network with other co-op members, directors, staff, and partners.
