A record number of delegates turned out for a packed day of business at CHF BC’s Semi-Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 3. CHF BC’s directors reviewed progress made on the resolutions passed at last November’s AGM including a rousing update on the You Hold the Key Campaign, and exciting news of new programs, services and co-op development opportunities.The always popular CHF BC Scholarship Fund presentations saw CHF BC award three scholarships to inspiring winners Cleo Tracey from Charles Square Co-op, Gabe Dennis from Access Co-op and Irene You from Northern Way Co-op.Delegates also adopted the Federation’s budget for the coming year. In the process, they approved a dues increase of 10 cents per unit per month for membership beginning August 1, 2014.In the afternoon, delegates took part in a lively discussion about our shared vision for a thriving and prosperous future for housing co-ops and the co-op housing sector. See more great photos from the day on the CHF BC Flickr page.
