From all of us here at CHF BC, BCNPHA and AHMA, thank you for being part of the 2020 Housing Central Conference. We are thrilled to have welcomed nearly 1,200 delegates for three days of learning, connection and inspiration; even though we weren’t able to meet in person, we saw an incredible level of engagement and enthusiasm that made the conference such a great success.
We hope you enjoyed our line-up of keynote speakers, ranging from Dan Pallotta’s inspiring kick-off to Lee Maracle’s powerful poetry, the passionate discussion with Sandy Hudson and Stephanie Allen, and an introduction with the new Minister Responsible for Housing, the Hon. David Eby.
The education sessions generated lively discussions in the chat boxes, with many that carried over to our hosted Lounge Link events. Most of the sessions were recorded and will be available for conference delegates to watch soon – stay tuned for more info on when those will be ready.
Did you get a chance to check out the art exhibition, Seeing/Being Seen? There’s still time to explore the impressive works by both professional artists and people with lived experience of homelessness, and to purchase items. When you have a moment be sure to return to the online platform, where you’ll still have access to Build Your Break activities including films on Hogan’s Alley, Inside Insite and more. And we encourage you to share the videos honouring the BCNPHA award winners – they’re available here.
Once again, thank you so much for helping us to make the first virtual Housing Central Conference a hit!
